I'm always eager to collaborate with like-minded people around the world. I'd love to hear from you!
I have always enjoyed living a full, multi-dimensional life - one that allows me to learn from incredible role models but also engages my creative, ever-evolving entrepreneurial skillset.
Over the past few years, I have been developing The Vidya Project, a non-profit that empowers the next generation of global changemakers. I believe so strongly that "you can't be who you can't see." Our vision is to remind young people in communities around the world that their voices matter. We do this through empowering dialogue from people like you and I, live-streamed discussions from industry leaders, and grassroots workshops led by global activists. We have programs spanning India and Western Africa.
I am also currently working on a deeply personal passion project: BossTribe of New York, an artistic coffee-table style book that follows the journey of 25 epic women of New York, a place I have been blessed to call home for the past 10 years. Stay tuned for the book release in 2020.
In a past life, I founded a socially conscious fashion venture, The Unity Closet which featured artists spanning five continents and a fashion line that was recognized during the Walk Show of New York Fashion Week. Building this company has been one of my most profound learning experiences to date.
Professionally, I am a proud graduate of New York University's Stern School of Business. I started my career on Wall Street followed by Salesforce, a software company. Alongside my personal projects, I am currently pursuing my graduate studies in Public Policy at Columbia University. Cheers to life-long learning :)
Ashika has actively spoken on topics relating to social innovation on various platforms including Tedx, Google, University of Michigan, and more.
